If we want to increase New Mexico’s renewable-energy requirements and create clean jobs; end trapping on public lands; and protect greater Chaco Canyon, Sandoval County and our state from the threats of fracking, then we must change the balance in our state Legislature to a pro-environment majority.

With those goals in mind, below are our New Mexico endorsements for the Nov. 8 election. 

I urge you to vote for these candidates, but we can’t stop there. The Rio Grande Sierra Club’s winning election record derives from a grassroots strategy of activating our members to volunteer for environmental champions.
