Calling all mentors/teachers! The Sierra Club’s Rio Grande Chapter is working to expand the kids, climate-focused afterschool program called the Global Warming Express <https://vimeo.com/136319729> (theglobalwarmingexpress.org)

It’s the 5th year of this after school science, sustainability, art and activism programming in the public, charter and private schools in your town/city. We are expanding this award-winning program and we need more staff. If you’d like your contribution to the world in regard to climate change to be working with 8-12 year olds in this amazing, By Kids/For Kids Program, Let us know!

Preferable if you have any or all of these qualifications, but not necessary:

-are experienced in the classroom

-know something about science, climate science or sustainabilty

-are able to teach art, music, drama or public speaking

Even without that background, we are interested in hearing from you if you:

love working with kids,

have a passion for the environment and for making change in the world.

Stipend provided. Requirement -5-10 hours per week commitment over the school year.
