GWE is asking you to contribute something more valuable than money to The Global Warming Express – your time and expertise. GWE is recruiting volunteers to fill positions in two important committees that will help shape our future. We also have three individual-contributor volunteer positions open that will support critical functions within GWE. You can take action on climate education. Here are some options:
Committees:
Rio Grande & GWE Integration Members of this committee will develop plans to pave the way for Sierra Club Rio Grande to fully adopt the GWE program. + Read more
Fundraising & Public Relations This committee will execute upon fundraising and donor/supporter outreach campaigns, and coordinate efforts with Integration committee. + Read more Committee members will participate in monthly calls, play a lead role in one of the committee areas outlined below, and participate in an annual planning meeting – the first of which would that would help us develop a short, middle and long-term plan for GWE. Individual Contribution Roles:
Web – Technical We’re looking for a person with technical expertise to manage the web server from

Content Posting Make periodic posts to the GWE website and social media accounts – Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. + Read more
Bookkeeping Assist with maintaining GWE accounting. Post transactions to QuickBooks & help with financial reporting. + Read more

We have an amazing group of concerned, dedicated activist citizens in this State. There are so many people and groups trying to make a difference in regard to our environment. But it isn't always easy to find out about all of the events happening or keep track of the efforts that New Mexicans are making to address global warming.
So I created this website in order to have a single place to go for information, if you want to get involved in climate related activities. I believe that if we work together we have the numbers that can create a greater impact and more influence, which ultimately will help us achieve our multiple environmental goals.
